About this Opportunity
Almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer's are women, meaning lots of men are caring for their wives and sons for their mothers. People age 65 and older survive an average of four to eight years after a diagnosis of Alzheimers, yet some live as long as 20 years.
Make a difference! We provide all the materials for those interested in educating in the community. In addition, we're seeking someone to train and pair with an experienced facilitator for a men's caregiver support group that will start meeting in The Woodlands.
Interested? Complete the Alzheimer's Association Volunteer Interest Survey atbit.ly/alz-vol-interest today!
Our volunteers deliver support and education, raise funds, advocate for Alzheimers and more to help achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimers and all other dementia(r). Whatever your skills, whatever time you have, we have in-person and virtual opportunities to provide vital support for people living with Alzheimer's and their families.
