About this Opportunity

Purpose:The Recovery Event Reviewer confirms and documents that an event actually happened when two Disaster Action Team (DAT) responders are not available. Recovery Event Reviewers may not hold any other role in RC Care. Volunteer needed specifically to provide review support for two teams 1) Montgomery, Walker, San Jacinto and Polk Counties and 2) Chambers, & Liberty Counties. Volunteer does not need to live in those counties.Responsibilities:Confirm and document in RC Care that an event actually happened.
Coordinate with local emergency and response officials to confirm events as needed.
Confirm events through social and traditional media links.Time Commitment:Daily check to be completed in RC Care. Time needed to verify and document any events varies ranging from no events to verify that day to time needed to make several phone calls and internet searches.Qualifications:Required qualifications:
RC Care access with a role of Event Reviewer
Comfortable using technology to search for media sources
Comfortable collaborating with local emergency and response officials
