About this Opportunity
CrowdDoing supports a social innovation venture lab and a portfolio of social enterprises. Both the lab and the social enterprises aim to achieve systemic change through collaboration with virtual volunteers.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a Public Relations (PR) Volunteer to design and implement marketing strategies that cultivate our relationships with media, engage our target audience and boost our brand awareness.
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
Tasks:
- Help develop press releases and get podcast bookings for our leadership.
- Help scale CrowdDoing's team through public relations oriented communications.
- This role can optionally include graphic design to help us communicate to media sources who could help us to recruit volunteers we need to achieve systemic change, CrowdDoing's systemic change research public relations & communications.
- Write effective press releases and build online communities.
- Use your creative ideas to drive PR initiatives thatll bring long-term success.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. Marketing and Communications) to maximize brand consistency in all advertising efforts.
- Promote and maintain a positive image of our organization, while ensuring strong online and offline brand presence.
Skills:
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal & written.
- Highly collaborative builds strong relationships internally and externally with positive/can-do attitude.
- Experience with media relations preferred.
- Strong knowledge, experience and practical application of social media and influencer strategies .
- Experience with event planning and/or promotions preferred.
