About this Opportunity

Create a warm welcome for patients receiving end-of-life care and a lasting keepsake for their families. Join our Caring Crafters team to make gifts of comfort and color for our patients. We have a select group of Caring Crafters that create a wide variety of projects including: Activity Aprons, Bereavement Bears/Memory Pillows (made from a loved ones clothing items), Clothing Protectors, Weighted Blankets, Knitted Socks, Lap Blankets and Quilts (crocheted, knitted and sewn) etc.

We will send you an application and information packet. We provide each patient and family with the gift of a handmade 18x18 pillow cover. Caring Crafters construct these creative and beautiful covers and we provide the foam inserts. Guidelines for making the pillow covers are included in our New Volunteer packet once the application has been completed and returned. Caring Crafters who track the hours spent volunteering are invited to all in-service and recognition events and receive our quarterly newsletter.

Update - we currently have a surplus supply of Pillow Covers. We are currently in need of small quilts and our other specialty hand-made projects.
