Home Fire Campaign Team Member

Responsibilities

Assist community members to prepare for home fires and other disasters.

This position is responsible for the tasks involved to implement the preparedness program including:

Support the annual preparedness goals, RDO objectives, and regional/chapter plan for preparedness programming through participation in meetings, projects, and local preparedness activities;

Execute assigned projects and local preparedness activities according to the activities you are trained in: Home Fire Campaign;

Serve clients and/or support Red Cross team members in providing residents with free smoke alarm installations and fire safety education; and 4. Complete tasks such as implementing preparedness activities, meeting with partners to build relationships, conducting inventory, and procuring or receiving necessary preparedness supplies.

Time Commitment

5-10 hours per weekend, twice a quarter on average.

Home Fire Preparedness Campaign Events are located throughout the state of WI within assigned neighborhoods.

Qualifications

Ability to relate effectively with diverse groups and individuals;

Excellent interpersonal, and verbal communication skills;

Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and review program guidelines and tools
