STUDENT INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Undergraduate, graduate, and law students are encouraged to apply for a meaningful and experience-building internship with the Volunteer Lawyers Project. Interns are offered a wide variety of client-based interactions, court observations, and projects relevant to working with low-income clients. In these difficult times, legal problems are mounting while access to the legal system is often limited by an inability to pay for representation. As the vital link to a variety of legal and community services, interns have an opportunity to provide much needed assistance while also learning about the law. This is a great opportunity tolearn more about the justice system here in Maine, interact directly with clients, and support a vital service in the community.
