About this Opportunity
Do you and your pet enjoy visiting with people and brightening their day? We provide hospice services to patients throughout the Dayton area who would LOVE for you to visit! Hospice provides special care, comfort, and support to those facing a life-limiting illness. Volunteers are a large part of hospice care and make an INCREDIBLE difference in the lives of others. Your pet does not need to be a certified therapy pet, but they must be friendly, calm, and well-socialized and you must provide a copy of their vaccinations. The pet handler must fill out a volunteer application then undergo a background check, drug test, and hospice volunteer training. Opportunities are available in Montgomery & Greene County and you can choose if you make visits in facilities and/or in patients' own homes. The address listed for this opportunity is our administrative office. You will be assigned to a location of your preference within the Dayton region.
