About this Opportunity
Compassus Hospice is looking for military veterans to serve as volunteers and provide companionship to our patients who are also veterans. Veteran volunteers are important because they are able to form a camaraderie with veteran patients that can help eliminate the stoicism and secrecy that veteran patients often develop from having served in the armed forces. Veteran volunteers help by assisting veterans in reminiscing and telling their life stories. Veteran volunteers are also needed to take part in pinning ceremonies.
