About this Opportunity
Are you an RN or APRN looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? At Lakeland Volunteers In Medicine, a free medical clinic, we are able to dispense medications at no cost to our patients through a state-approved dispensary license. This special license allows licensed RNs and APRNs to serve in a role similar to that of a pharmacist - reviewing, preparing, and dispensing prescriptions under our clinical protocols. We are currently seeking RN and APRN volunteers to assist in this capacity. You do not need prior pharmacy experience - we’ll provide training and support. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients who otherwise would go without essential medications.
Volunteer Role Highlights:
- Dispense free prescriptions under our clinic’s dispensary license.
- Support patients by ensuring they receive proper instructions and guidance.
- Collaborate with our clinical team in a compassionate, community-based setting.
- Flexible shifts available (even a few hours per week makes an impact!)Who can volunteer?
