Responsibilities: Facilitate clear and accurate communication between healthcare providers and patients. Simplify medical terminology, ensuring patients fully understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and care instructions. Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Act as a cultural bridge, ensuring both patients and providers respect and understand each other’s perspectives. Provide real time translation during medical appointments, procedures, and discussions. Proactively seek clarification when needed to guarantee precise communication.
Preferred Skills and Qualities: Fluency in at least two languages (one being English). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathy and cultural sensitivity when dealing with patients in vulnerable situations. Basic understanding of medical terminology (training provided if needed). Previous translation experience is a plus but not required.
