DESCRIPTION: The Volunteer Dev Mentor will be responsible for mentoring the Development interns at Thaddeus. They will direct and lead planning and implementation of all of Thaddeus’s development strategies and activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise and mentor 5-10 interns in the Development Department. Oversee and assist in various Development processes, including but not limited to: grant writing, strategic planning for Thaddeus, media instruction, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: Have completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications or related studies. 5+ years’ experience working in communications and public relations. Experience working with databases a plus, with Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred. Be skilled at a variety of computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat are mandatory, knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop a plus. Excellent with use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Develop creative and new ideas. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
TIME COMMITMENT: 5 hrs./week including mandatory meetings for 1-year minimum. Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:
Weekly All Staff Meeting: Tuesdays 9 AM - 10 AM PST & Weekly Development Meetings: Thursdays 1 PM - 2 PM PST.
