About this Opportunity
Resiliency research shows it only takes a bond with one adult outside their family for children to feel the positive effects for a lifetime. Enhance the well-being and development of young children by being a positive, stable, consistent adult in their lives.
Create positive role models for at risk children and families; maintain safety and a positive learning environment. Help progress a child’s development through play and interaction. Bring joy into a child’s day and your own while learning age-appropriate positive discipline techniques, early childhood development theory, and Montessori Method for small groups of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Help with meal clean-up, laundry, folding clothing, donations, etc.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to model interactions of teachers.
- Some lifting with children under 2 ½ years.
- Must love children and be able to interact positively.
- Choose from shifts Monday - Friday 9:00am-12:00pm. We ask for a 6-month commitment of 3 hours per week or more.
