We provide services, research and education, and advocate to help people with low vision and blindness. Our vision is a world in which no person is limited by their visual capacity. The Finance Department manages Lighthouse Guild's money. The business functions include planning, organizing, auditing, accounting for and controlling Lighthouse Guild's finances. The Finance Department also produces the company's financial statements. We seek a candidate that is a self-starter and able to work independently after training; comfortable with providing financial and administrative support to the department. The candidate will report to the Finance Supervisor.
Location: 250 West 64th Street, 6th Floor New York, NY 10023.

Volunteer Opportunity: The intern(s) will be tasked with assisting with tracking daily cash transactions, making check deposits, making month end journal entries/post in accounting software, and assist with department projects as needed. Training will include learning all spreadsheets/programs needed to accomplish tasks.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Details of the Opportunity: The ideal candidate is available during business hours 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We are flexible with establishing your schedule during these hours and request your presence in the office at least 4 hours per day. Please submit a resume to [email protected].
