About this Opportunity
Gender Freedom Society is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the position of Recruiting Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for recruitment, screening, interviewing, and orientation of volunteers. You will seek opportunities to build relationships in the community, with prospective volunteers, and represent the Gender Freedom Society through internal and external activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Development and Recruiting Manager with design and execution of the volunteer program.
Serve as the primary contact for candidates interested in volunteering with Gender Freedom Society.
Facilitate recruitment, screening, interviewing, and orientation of new volunteers.
Manage volunteer postings, user administration, and volunteer onboarding / offboarding.
Be the first point of contact for active volunteers, and management who utilize volunteer support.
Oversee all communication related to the volunteer program.
Maintain volunteer documentation, including recruitment notices, volunteer files, individual applications, and other paperwork.
Manage the internal volunteer communications calendar, volunteer handbook, and other recruitment-related documentation.
Plan and implement informal volunteer recognition activities to recognize the contribution of volunteers to the organization.
Work with the Director of Development on implementing a formal volunteer recognition program.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Proficient writing skills and effective presentation skills
Exceptional planning and organizational abilities
Project management skills and customer service skills preferred
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Experience with research and data management
Database management, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps
