Moving Crew

Overview: We are seeking compassionate and reliable volunteers to form an on-call moving crew. This opportunity provides vital support to individuals and families transitioning into a new HOME, Inc. home who may not have the means to hire professional moving services.

Role: As a member of our Moving Crew, you will be part of a dedicated team that steps in to assist with packing, loading, transporting, and unpacking household items. Your efforts will help ease the burden of moving for those who are unable to afford a moving crew and don't have a community of people to help them otherwise, ensuring they have a smoother transition into their new HOME, Inc. home.

Commitment:On-call availability - Volunteers will receive notifications for upcoming moves with short notice (typically within 24-48 hours, during normal hours of the day).Flexibility: You can choose how often you wish to participate based on your schedule and availability.Each move may require a few hours of your time depending on the amount of work, so your commitment can be tailored to fit your lifestyle.

Requirements:Physical ability to assist with lifting and carrying boxes and furniture.Dependable transportation to and from moving locations.Good team work and good communication skills.

You will be providing an essential service to individuals and families who would otherwise not be able to afford hiring a moving crew, allowing the family to be able to move into their new home without the added stress or financial burden of having to figure out how to get their possessions into their home.
