Safety Team

Purpose:Members of the Safety Team provide an extra set of eyes and ears throughout the hospital. In this role, volunteers may assist providing directions, reporting incidents, and crowd control.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular rounds of assigned areas, looking for issues or areas of concern

• Report any issues or incidents found to Public Safety

• Provide directions and assistance to patients and visitors

• Assist with crowd control, and other public safety activities as assigned

Preferred Experience:

• Interest in security/public safety

• Prior customer service

• Solid communication skills, written and verbal

• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people

• Comfortable walking up to 3 miles

A six-month commitment is appreciated.
