About this Opportunity
Donating is the fastest way to make a difference as we respond to the needs of the community during the evolving pandemic crisis. If you would like to give your time, please see our post about Food Distribution Volunteers.
Catholic Community Services Noel House Programs provides up to 52 overnight shelter beds at host churches. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Noel House Programs has move quickly to open a 24/7 shelter at the Columbia Community Center in Seattle. This shelter will allow women to stay inside all day and night in accordance with current public health and state orders to stay at home.
Catholic Community Services is also identifying elderly and medically fragile community members that access shelter services in order to move them into hotels to avoid exposure and contraction of Covid-19. Hotels provide a safe place for clients to stay home. Catered and delivered meals support nutrition and allow everyone to stay inside as much as possible. Reducing the need to leave the hotel minimizes possible exposure and spread of the virus in the community. As the pandemic evolves the number of clients needing to shelter in hotels will increase.
Monetary donations are needed to cover increased operations costs due to increased hours and staffing cost, and hotel and catering fees.
If you would like to donate to Noel House Programs visit their donation page.
