Food Delivery Volunteers Needed in King County

Volunteer are needed to distribute sack lunches to individuals and families experiencing homelessness that are sheltered in hotels throughout King County.

Catholic Community Services is sheltering medically fragile and elderly individuals and families experiencing homelessness in hotels in order to prevent vulnerable people from contracting Covid-19. Approximately 45 individuals have been placed in hotels around King County to allow clients to stay inside and follow social distancing rules. A vital part of remaining healthy is having access to healthy food. CCS has partnered with Seattle Prep to make and deliver bagged lunches to hotels. Each client receives 3 lunches and 3 drinks daily. Seattle Prep volunteers are unable to deliver the meals directly to clients. Volunteers are needed to help distribute food to clients. Food distribution volunteers will meet the food delivery volunteer at the hotel during the timeslot. They will then be responsible for contacting the clients and alerting them that food has arrived.
