Emergency Hotel Stays and Meals for Vulnerable Clients

In order to protect those most vulnerable to serious complications if infected with Covid-19 and to allow for social distancing at congregate shelters, Catholic Community Services is placing elderly and medically fragile individuals and families experiencing homelessness in hotels throughout King County. Hotels provide a safe place for clients to stay home in accordance with current public health and state orders. Catered and delivered meals, one a day Monday through Thursday and three on Fridays per guest, support nutrition and allow everyone to stay inside as much as possible. Reducing the need to leave the hotel minimizes possible exposure and spread of the virus. Currently, we are housing and providing meals for approximately 33 individuals and 6 families. This number is consistently growing as more clients are identified. CCS is requesting cash donations in order to ensure that clients will be able to stay in hotels and receive meals until the crisis is over. Donations will be used to pay for hotel stays and catered meals for guests.
