Supporting an Elderly Person who is Grieving.

Providence Elder Place is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence Elder Place helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

Whether its a close friend, spouse, partner, parent, child, or other relative, few things are as painful as losing someone you love.

We are seeking volunteers who can support our elder community who are grieving a recent loss of a loved one.

An elderlys older sister passed away recently, 2023. Participant was very close with sister before her passing. They spoke often via telephone. Participant is the last one remaining from sibling set, going through a significant decline in social interaction and communal engagement. Also has been eating in her room additionally, loss of interest in hobbies.

Give as little as an hour a week, flexible schedule, weekday, weekends, afternoons/or anything that works for you and your accompanying senior.

No Prior experience required, Training and education provided.

You dont have to do this alone, bring a buddy with you.
