About this Opportunity

If you have a special place in your heart for an older cat, please consider hospice fostering.

With this RASKC program, you would care for a cat in your home who might not live for more than a few months. With your nurturance, however, the cat might live much longer.

RASKC would provide you with free food, free litter, free medicines, and free vet care for this kittty. No heroic measures, however, would be taken to extend the cat's life.

The Foster Care Coordinator is always availabe (24 hours a day/ 7 days a week) in case any unexpected situations arise.

If the cat's placement in your home doesn't happen to work out, you may return the cat to RASKC.

If you are willing to open your heart and home to an older cat in need, you would be providing a tremendous service to a most vulnerable animal.

Next steps:

1. Complete a RASKC volunteer application. Indicate that you are interested in hospice fostering.

2. View the online training videos on RASKC's website- Modules 1, 2 & 4- and answer the questions.

3. Submit your completed liability-release form. If you are a youth, your parent/ legal guardian would need to complete this form on your behalf.

Hospice fostering is one of the most meaningful ways you can help a vulnerable animal from the shelter. Thank you!
