About this Opportunity

Are you looking to have some fun while making a difference in your community?

Plymouth Housing Group is a local non-profit organization that provides permanent supportive housing at 17 residential buildings that serve about 1,400 residents who were formerly homelessness. We are looking for a few volunteers who are knowledgeable, passionate, and interested in outdoor recreation, specifically fishing. Our building staff want to take a group of residents on a day trip to leisurely fish and enjoy time outdoors together. We are looking for a small group of volunteers to lead the trip by choosing the location, providing some gear (a few residents have limited gear), helping residents and staff learn how to fish, and assisting with transportation. We can provide some transportation as well. This would be very relaxed as some of our residents have mobility and health limitations. Ideally the fishing location would be 20-30 minutes from downtown Seattle and not involve any hiking.

Volunteers must understand and align with Plymouth's mission and values of harm reduction and housing first. Many logistics will be figured out closer to the summertime. If you and a group are interested click "Respond" to sign up or get in contact. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected]. Let's get this partnership rolling!

Thank you for your interest in supporting our residents!
