Volunteer Needed: Compassionate Companion for Elderly Participant

We are seeking a respectful and patient volunteer to support an elderly individual living with moderate vascular dementia and recurrent major depressive disorder. The participant is alert and oriented but may require redirection or space during periods of agitation.

Volunteer Role Includes:

• Accompanying the participant on brief outings (e.g., walks, shopping, manicure/pedicure)

• Providing calm, supportive companionship

• Encouraging engagement in preferred activities

Qualifications:

• Empathy, humility, and emotional sensitivity

• Ability to respond appropriately to agitation

• No clinical experience required
