Make a Difference: Assist Residents with Wheelchairs at Onsite Worship Services

AtLyngblomsten, Spiritual Care Services are a cherished time for residentsto gather in the Chapel for reflection, prayer, and fellowship. For many, thisweekly service provides comfort, connection, and a sense of peace that enrichestheir emotional and spiritual well-being. However, most of our residentsrequire assistance getting to and from the Chapel and this is where volunteersplay an essential role.

We are seeking compassionate volunteers to help transportresidents safely and comfortably to the Chapel each Sunday morning from 10 a.m.to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers may assist by pushing wheelchairs, offering a steadyarm for support, or simply providing friendly conversation along the way. Thissmall act of service makes a tremendous differenceensuring that every residentwho wishes to attend has the opportunity to do so.

Volunteeringin this way is more than just helping with transportation; its about buildingrelationships and sharing moments of kindness. Many residents look forward toseeing familiar volunteer faces each week, and the sense of community thatgrows from these interactions is deeply meaningful. By giving just a little ofyour time on Sunday mornings, you can help bring joy, comfort, and connectionto those who need it most.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Approach interactions with kindness and understanding.
• Are committed to your scheduled shifts.

Time Commitment:

• Regular weekly shifts available:
  • Sundays: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
• Occasional opportunities to support special holiday services such as Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
