Animal Humane Society - Want to help Dogs get Adopted? Become a Canine Foster Volunteer!

Through Animal Humane Society's foster program, thousands of animals have received special care before finding their new homes. More than 2,000 animals who come to AHS each year need foster care before they are ready for adoption.

We are seeking foster support for large dogs (50 pounds and up) who have behavioral and medical issues. We are looking for cat and rabbit foster volunteers too!

The food, medication, kennels, toys, and other basic supplies you will need are provided, along with training and care instructions. Vet techs and behaviorists can also offer their help if needed.

Fostering is an immensely rewarding experience, and it changes animals lives in a very direct way. Your act of kindness will be repaid in rewards that are beyond words.

AHS shelters are located Minnesota. Applicants must live within 60 miles of Golden Valley, Coon Rapids, or Woodbury to be considered for this volunteer role.
