Make a Friend, Make a Difference: Be a Special Friend!

Imagine the joy of bringing sunshine into someone's day. That's what you can do as a Special Friend at Lyngblomsten!

Be a friend to a senior resident and create a friendship that will enrich both your lives. Share laughter, conversation, and meaningful moments. You'll gain more than you give with flexible hours and the chance to make a real difference.

As a Special Friend, you'll be matched with a wonderful senior resident (average age is 87!) for weekly visits. Here are some ways you can brighten their day:

• Play games or enjoy outdoor visits (weather permitting)
• Explore creative hobbies together
• Escort your friend to our on-site cafe for a change of scenery and delicious treats
• Assist with light tasks like organizing their room, bringing them books, or writing letters
