About this Opportunity

Love history and working with kids? Furnace Town Historic Site is looking for School Tour Guides to lead engaging, educational experiences for visiting student groups!

What Youll Do:

- Guide school groups through the historic site, making history fun and interactive.

- Share the story of Furnace Towns iron-making past, daily life in the 19th century, and the importance of historic preservation.

- Lead hands-on activities at different stations, such as explaining how the furnace worked, demonstrating a washboard, or discussing early industries.

- Adapt presentations to different age groups to keep students engaged.

- Enthusiastic individuals who enjoy teaching and engaging with children.

- Volunteers with a love for history, storytelling, and making learning fun.
