About this Opportunity
Do you have a passion for traditional crafts and historic trades? Furnace Town Historic Site is looking for Historic Skills Interpreters to bring history to life through hands-on demonstrations!
What Youll Do:
- Demonstrate a historic craft or trade, such as blacksmithing, woodworking, broom-making, weaving, or other traditional skills.
- Engage with visitors by explaining the historical significance and process of your craft.Help create an immersive, educational experience that connects guests to the past.
- Optionally, offer hands-on opportunities for visitors to try aspects of the craft.
Who Were Looking For:
- Individuals with experience or strong interest in historic trades and craftsmanship.
- Friendly, engaging volunteers who enjoy interacting with visitors.
- Those willing to dedicate time to learning and sharing a craft.
