About this Opportunity
The Area 10 Garden provides nutritious fresh produce throughout the summer and into the fall for hundreds of our home-bound individuals in Monroe and Owen Counties through our Mobile Food Pantry.
We need volunteers to water the garden and pick veggies as they ripen later in the season. The shifts are once a week and run from May through September. A shift takes about an hour.
Pick a day of the week when you can water the garden in the morning. It's best for the plants (and you) to water before the day gets too hot! We're looking for substitute volunteers to help during the week when someone is not available.
There is a hose in the garden, so you do not to carry heavy watering cans. No experience needed. Lesa will show you what to do!
The garden is at our main office in Ellettsville, 631 W Edgewood Dr.
