About this Opportunity

Duties of a campground host include being available to answer questions, making visitor contacts as you make your rounds through the campground, being a visible presence in the campground especially on busy days; being knowledgeable about the area and the Mark Twain National Forest Recreation Area in general. Maintenance duties shall include cleaning campground bathroom facilties including flush toilet and shower building as well as vault toilets. Maintaining camp sites: remove and replace trash bags from small containers, place filled trash bags into dumpsters, clean fire rings, grills, and wipe down picnic tables, all on a daily basis. Make sure fee envelopes are stocked; mow around host site.

Other duties may be assigned as agreed upon by both parties.

No enforcement duties are allowed or required. No collection of fees is allowed or required.

You will be required to comply with a schedule and keep a log of the days you are in the campground volunteering.

Host Campsite - The host has a one-of-a-kind campsite located at the beach and overlooking the lake. This site is behind locked gates during the night. This site offers 30 or 50 amp electric, water hook-up, and sewer.
