About this Opportunity
Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is accepting applications for Volunteer Hosts and Volunteer Caretakers in both Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) and non-OHV Campgrounds and Day-Use areas.
Volunteering at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is a year-round opportunity! Most of our facilities are open all year. We are always accepting applications and often have opportunities open up throughout the year. Now is the time to get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator! Hosts and Caretakers are provided a paved, full hookup + propane space for RV or trailer, plus uniforms and training.
About the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area:
The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area extends for 40 miles along the Oregon Coast from Florence, OR to Coos Bay, OR. Formed by the ancient forces of wind, water and time, these dunes (as high as 500 feet above sea level!) are like no others in the world. This is the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes in North America - truly a special place.
While famous for its OHV riding opportunities, the Oregon Dunes NRA also offers many areas for those who are not OHV enthusiasts. Hiking, paddling, wildlife viewing, camping, picnicking, sand play and beach access - the Oregon Dunes NRA has it all.
The Oregon Dunes NRA is part of Siuslaw National Forest, and was designated by Congress in 1972. It is one of only 25 National Recreation Areas in the country.
