Do you have a green thumb? Would you enjoy caring for a native Virginia perennial garden?
The Lee Ranger District of the George Washington National Forest is looking for a volunteer gardener to gently love their Virginia perennial gardens and landscaping back to life! These gardens are located in Edinburg, VA in the Shenandoah Valley - just 1.5 hrs from Washington DC. Call (540) 984-4101 for details. Work may include:
- Providing tender loving care to unloved plants
- Weeding borders and beds
- Watering flowers during times of drought
- Deadheading spent flowers
- Creating a native VA flower garden around a Civilian Conservation Corp Statue
