W. Kerr Scott Front Desk Attendant

Description/Volunteer Duties: Work the Visitor Assistance (VAC) or Environmental Education Center (EEC) (located in the same building) front desk to include greeting visitors, giving out information, stocking brochures, selling passes or gift store items, giving EEC tours, assisting Park Rangers with interpretive programs, cleaning and organizing classrooms, storage rooms, conference rooms, and exhibits as needed. Additionally, MAY perform general upkeep of the Backyard Habitat and Lakeside Nature Trail as needed to include weeding, mulching, planting, trimming, and painting. These duties require the volunteer to complete a background check, wear a volunteer shirt or vest as part of job, use appropriate safety equipment as required, and attend a mandatory training day prior to start day.
