Falls Lake Dam-Trail Monitor

Falls Lake is located in the beautiful and bustling triangle area of North Carolina. Although considered a metropolitan lake, Falls Lake has it all!  With over 12,400 acres of water surrounded by 25,500 acres of public lands, the lake provides an abundance of opportunities to recreate and relax among the beautiful pine and hardwood forests and undeveloped shoreline.

Dates: The Position is Year Round 2020

There is over 60 miles of trails located at Falls Lake, which is part of the North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail. This volunteer position is needed intermittently, to walk and clear the various project area trails of trash, natural debris, and overgrowth. Report any fallen trees, blocked trails, bank erosion or unsafe trail conditions. Duties can also include: removing invasive and unwanted species; brush clearing, pruning of trees and shrubs, etc.
