Maintenance Volunteer

Natural Resources / Recreation Maintenance Volunteer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use facilities – Otter Brook Lake / Surry Mountain Lake in Keene & Surry, NH.  Volunteers may be required to pass a background check.  The volunteer position is available from mid-May through mid-September.  Volunteers will perform light maintenance duties, which may include: painting, staining, general carpentry, trail maintenance, weeding and trimming.  Each Volunteer will work a minimum of 24 hours / week, in between the hours of 7am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday.  Hours and days worked in between those timeframes are negotiable. Government equipment will be made available to the volunteer(s), after all safety training and certifications are obtained.  In exchange for volunteering, the volunteer(s) will be provided a campsite at Surry Mountain Lake, with water, sewer and electric hookup.   If you are interested or have questions please contact Christie Baker, [email protected], or call the Otter Brook Lake office at 603-352-4130.
