Trailkeeper

Duties: 

Trailkeepers will patrol the 7 miles of trails at Fort Donelson National Battlefield in order to maintain and document trail conditions: 

• Removal of litter, leaves, and fallen or low hanging limbs
• Trail rehabilitation and repair as needed such as filing holes  
• Inspection of trails, bridges, stairs, and benches for damage or safety concerns
• Filling out an inspection form if any concerns are found

Volunteer will not be expected to cover all 7 miles in one day.

Minimum Commitment: 

8 hours a month

Knowledge and Abilities Required: 

• Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time
• Have a valid driver’s license
