Description/Volunteer Duties: Work the Boomer Park day use gatehouse to include opening and closing the gate during each shift, greeting visitors, giving out information, operating cash register, selling passes, collecting money and following procedures given for money collection, filling honor vault envelope holder on vault, posting signs and information as needed, operating life jacket loaner program, and making 2 drive thrus a day of park to check on parking availability, restroom cleanliness, and visitor safety. Additionally, perform general upkeep of the gatehouse and surrounding area as needed to include weeding, mulching, planting, trimming, and painting. These duties require the volunteer to complete a background check, wear a volunteer shirt or vest as part of job, use appropriate safety equipment as required, and attend a mandatory training day prior to start day.
