Education Assistant

The volunteer will assist in the education program within the Division of Interpretation. After orientation, the volunteer will be expected to work independently, with little supervision. We will work with the volunteer to formulate a volunteer opportunity that fits the volunteer's interests, experience level, and time commitment. Opportunity choices may include working with students on field trips or in the classroom. Or they may include developing lesson plans, or props that can be used in lessons. Depending on experience and interests, the volunteer may choose from field trip activities ranging from reading stories to leading science or history based field trip rotations. Opportunities may be open all along the Natchez Trace Parkway. A background check will be required.
