Visitor Center Desk

Brief Description of Work to be Performed:

The volunteer will staff the information desks in the park and memorial answering questions and providing orientation to the site.

Qualifications: This position does not require any prior experience beyond a willingness to learn and an openness to communicating with the public.  Prior knowledge about the American Revolutionary War is welcomed. 

Suitability: High School, College or Graduate Students, Adults, and Seniors

Length of Commitment: Initial commitment of 3 months, can be extended if desired. With a minimum of two 4- hour shifts a month (these shifts maybe done on the same day if desired).

Physical Requirements of Work:

• Be able to climb 33 stairs into the memorial.
• Occasional long periods of standing
• Occasional work in the memorial which is subject to weather changes.
