Role Overview

The Marketing Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping LandSeed’s brand, messaging, and outreach strategy. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in marketing, communications, or brand management who is looking to make a meaningful impact in the non-profit sector — particularly someone approaching retirement who wants to embark on a purposeful next career journey.

You will start as a volunteer, with a strong potential to transition into a paid role as LandSeed’s projects secure funding and grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with LandSeed’s mission and growth objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with funding partners, media, stakeholders, and the broader housing community
  • Lead branding, outreach, and communications initiatives, ensuring consistency across all channels
  • Oversee content creation, storytelling, social media campaigns, newsletters, and digital marketing efforts
  • Plan and execute events, webinars, and other engagement activities to raise LandSeed’s profile
  • Analyze marketing performance and metrics, refining strategies based on data insights
  • Collaborate with leadership and project teams to ensure marketing supports overall organizational goals

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, public relations, and digital marketing
  • Excellent leadership, storytelling, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics software
  • Passion for social impact, housing, and community development
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven, volunteer-first environment
