Ho, Ho, Ho! Off To the Store You Go. Can You Take Me With You?

Holiday shopping can be fun and we can make it even better when you bargain hunt with a buddy. Take a person who is legally blind to the store when you go. They just need a little help to read the size tags or maybe a price tag in a poorly lit store. Then you can grab a bite to eat and head home with your bargains and your buddy and a little something extra - the knowledge that you have done something truly special for someone else.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

• a desire to help others;

• a pleasant demeanor;

• a good reading/speaking voice;

• average reading skills;

• organizational or planning abilities;

• a good driving record;

• a clear criminal history;

• two references

• access to a car with proof of insurance;

• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.
