Food Rescuer - Whippany to Morristown/Morris County, NJ

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved nourishes our community in need whilst also reducing the landfill waste and so helping the environment.

The volunteer role would involve:

• picking up meals from our donor cafeteria, and
• delivering these meals to our non-profit community partner/s in nearby area.

Each volunteer task will take approximately one hour including travel time between donor and recipient. Pick up and deliveries will be on a specified week day (not at weekends) and will be set for some time during morning to mid afternoon, depending on the donor requirements, and will be confirmed shortly. Volunteers will need to drive their own car. We welcome regular participation but will work with your schedule.

We are looking for volunteers to rescue food in Whippany and transport it to Morristown at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoons.
