About this Opportunity
Someone should really do something to help to reduce the social isolation we are all experiencing ...and that can be you. If you are a good listener, are willing to shop, drive, sort mail or read; or if you have a bit of interest in advocacy on behalf of others, the Department of Aging and Disability Services has volunteer opportunities for you. You can work directly with a senior who is blind, in their home, assisting with reading, sorting mail, shopping and so on - make a meaningful connection with just a few hours per month and very flexible!
OR, if you have more time you can volunteer in a long-term care facility to assist residents in identifying and solving issues before they become problems, organizing family councils and encouraging interaction among residents and between residents. Not Sure CALL ME! 860-602-4129, let's chat.
One stop shopping can introduce you to the volunteer opportunity that is right for you.
