Do you have 12 days, an easy, cool dozen days to make the community a better place? That is just one day per month for each month in the year and that is all it will take to make the day brighter for a blind neighbor or a special resident at an independent living facility in Unionville.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

• a desire to help others;
• a pleasant demeanor;
• a good reading/speaking voice;
• average reading skills;
• organizational or planning abilities;
• a good driving record;
• a clear criminal history;
• two references
• access to a car with proof of insurance;
• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage. You must live in Connecticut or a border community. There is no relocation or Visa service available.
