Position Overview:

The Toxicology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory toxicology courses, conducting virtual lab sessions, and assisting students with their learning.

Location: Remote

Start time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lab Instruction: Assist with virtual lab sessions, demonstrating techniques, and ensuring safety protocols.
    • Teaching Support: Lead online discussion sessions, hold office hours, and assist with course materials.
    • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain attendance and progress records.
    • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols for virtual and hands-on toxicology exercises.
    • Student Support: Provide clarification and assistance to students in understanding complex concepts.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Toxicology, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
    • Strong understanding of toxicology principles, pharmacology, and related concepts.
    • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible manner.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
