About this Opportunity
The Peace Economy Project is looking for organized and outgoing Registration and Information Table Volunteers to assist with welcoming guests, managing check-in, and providing information during the Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and ensuring smooth event operations.
Responsibilities:
Registration and Check-In:
- Greet and check in attendees as they arrive.
- Collect contact information for follow-up communications.
- Distribute name tags, programs, and candles for the vigil.
- Information Support:
- Provide attendees with schedules, maps, and event details.
- Answer general questions and direct attendees to seating, restrooms, and activities.
- Offer information about the Peace Economy Project and its mission.
- Donor and Volunteer Sign-Ups:
- Encourage attendees to sign up for future volunteer opportunities.
- Assist with pledge forms and donations.
- Data Collection and Record Keeping:
- Keep track of guest attendance and donor contributions.
- Organize forms and maintain records for follow-up outreach.
- Additional Support:
- Assist with setting up and organizing the registration and information table.
- Provide backup support to greeters and ushers if needed.
Requirements:
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with the public and answering questions.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, administration, or event support (not required).
- Familiarity with using sign-in sheets and managing basic records.
- Multilingual skills are a plus but not required.
