About Us:

weAFAR Global Justice, Inc. is a newly formed, IRS-approved nonprofit with a big mission and a tiny budget. We support scam survivors and work to prevent financial crimes by coordinating specialized volunteer cohorts and initiatives.

Role Overview:

The Cyber Volunteer Coordinator is a sensitive and key operational role responsible for the smooth functioning of all cyber-focused cohorts. You will manage cohort staffing, ensure volunteers’ skills match project needs, coordinate schedules, and maintain the integrity and organization of cyber volunteer operations. This role is essential to the success of our cyber initiatives and the safe, efficient operation of our volunteer teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all cyber-focused volunteer cohorts.
  • Ensure cohorts are fully staffed and volunteers’ skills align with project requirements and volunteer interests.
  • Track cohort progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between cohort leads, volunteers, and leadership.
  • Maintain secure handling of sensitive volunteer and program information.
  • Support onboarding, training, and volunteer engagement within the cyber program.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background or active interest in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (students, professionals, or volunteers with experience welcome).
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing remote volunteer teams and schedules.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Passion for supporting scam survivors and contributing to meaningful nonprofit work.
