Your time can help alleviate the profound isolation and loneliness that can accompany a life-limiting illness. You bring the patient and their family a warm smile and a friendly face when it’s needed most.
Volunteers provide:
- Companionship: Being a warm, consistent presence for someone who may be feeling isolated.
- Support: Providing a brief respite for a family caregiver by sitting with a patient.
- Connection: Engaging in activities like reading, conversation, or games to bring joy and normalcy to a challenging time.
