About this Opportunity

This volunteer opportunity is through CorsoCare Hospice & NOT the assisted living facility. Please contact Nikki Gerber, Volunteer Recruiting Specialist/Administrative Assistant via this VolunteerMatch link or at [email protected] or (248) 260-8257.

Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory. CorsoCare Hospice has volunteer opportunities at Forest Glen Assisted Living in Dowagiac for compassionate, empathetic individuals who want to share the gift of music with our patients through playing an instrument, singing or playing recorded music. No musical experience or professional training needed.

CorsoCare provides all PPE necessary to ensure a safe and enriching experience on every visit. You will also be provided ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout your service with us and will be invited to education opportunities and appreciation events.

If you have any questions, or need further information, please contact Nikki Gerber, Volunteer Recruiting Specialist/Administrative Assistant, at (248) 260-8257 or [email protected].

"Music speaks what cannot be expressed; soothes the mind and gives it rest; heals the heart and makes it whole; flows from heaven to the soul." -K.C. Lynn
