Title: Career Coach

Purpose: As a volunteer Career Coach, you will empower professionals to navigate career changes, transitions, and development opportunities. Your coaching will provide support in making impactful career choices aligned to each coachee's passions, values, and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Help coachees articulate their career passions, interests, values and priorities
• Support self-assessment of strengths, development areas, and motivations
• Provide tools and frameworks for weighing career options and choices
• Share insights on résumé, interview, negotiation and networking strategies
• Offer accountability and encouragement on planned development activities
• Help coachees overcome self-limiting beliefs and build confidence
• Connect coachees to resources and networks to expand possibilities
• Customize your approach based on the individual's needs and context

Qualifications:

• Passion for helping others thrive professionally
• Understanding of career development stages and transitions
• Knowledge of effective job search, networking and interview techniques
• Ability to challenge limiting mindsets and build self-efficacy
• Strong listening, inquisitiveness and motivational skills
• Experience supporting career pivots and growth opportunities
• Patient, compassionate, and empowering coaching approach

Time Commitment: 2 hours per month over a 6 month engagement
